Some recent Lexo-Isms

Lex has just been a trip lately and I don't want to forget any of these....

This morning on our way to school, she started asking me about Nanny (nanny is my grandma, my dad's mom).

Lex: Mom, does Nanny drive?

Me: No, Lex, Nanny has never driven. Pop Pop, mommy's grandpa, always drove.

Lex (thinking for a moment): Maybe, Nanny's scared to drive. Maybe she thinks that the hills are really, really, scary dinosaurs. I think that's why she doesn't drive.

When we were in Florida (which I need to post about)...

Lex: Mommy, where do itches come from?

On our way to the resort, we were looking for alligators....

Lex: Mommy, do alligators eat people.

Me (not wanting to lie, but not wanting to scare the living daylights out of her): Well, alligators are wild animals and we shouldn't go near them. We just look at them in zoos.

Lex (pondering this for a bit): You mean, they only eat realllllyyyyy old people, then.

Yesterday, I was hurrying lex to brush her hair and brush her teeth so that we wouldn't be late for speech.

Me: C'mon lex, let's brush your hair and mommy will start brushing your teeth.

Lex: MOHOOOOOOOMMMMMM, does it look like I have 6 hands (said in her I'm a 15 year old in disguise voice).
