Alexa's Wedding

Alexa is on a big "married" kick these days.

Alexa informed me today that she's going to marry Samuel AND Andrew. Olivia is also going to marry Samuel and Andrew.

The girls are going to wear yellow and white Belle dresses (picture Lex holding up her princesses pocketbook and saying: Here mommy, here's Belle's pretty yellow and white dress...see mommy. see??).

Andrew and Samuel are going to wear sneakers and "work suits" with brown ties (Alexa's terminology for a man's suit as both Bran and her dad wear suits everyday).

They're going to drink "Grover" juice boxes and eat vanilla cake and dance to "Mary had a Little Lamb."

I was also told that "the mommies are not invited."

Wacation-yep, w/ a W

We've returned from wacation and Lex wants to go back : ) We had a fun time riding the Cape May Lewes Ferry, playing on the beach, going on a surrey ride and relaxing at the Jersey Shore. Lex is SOOO tan and loves to declare that she has a white tush.

One more chance

Lex: Mommy, I want to go live with GG.

Jen: But Lex, I would be so sad if you didn't live here with us.

Lex: Okay, I will give you one more chance.

What Mommy Smells Like

Saturday afternoon, Lex and I were cuddling on the couch.

Lex: Mommy, you smell good.

Jen: Thanks Lex! What do I smell like?

Lex: You smell like mommy.

Jen: Well, what does "mommy" smell like?

Lex: Pretty bananas and strawberries.

The Number Jar--Contest Winner

Alexa guessed 17 items in the jar at school on Friday and won the "Number Jar" for the weekend. Alexa was able to keep the transformer, the fake thermometer, and some fake apples from the jar, and we replaced it with a fake frog, a mini sun key chain, some sea shells, and a little soccer ball : ) She was SO proud of herself!

Jen's Whirlwind trip to NYC

Monday am--leave for NYC via train

Monday pm---meeting at Mt. Sinai (and basically get raked through the coals by one of the world's most difficult physicians in the country (not exaggerating in the least here---world renowned doctors are a PIA!)

Tuesday ---take Train back to DC.

Even though it was a fast and stressful trip, it was fun. I stayed at the Bryant Park hotel which is directly across the street from: TA DA--Bryant Park! Anyway, every Monday night, they have movies in the Park (ala the Wedding Planner). Yesterday's movie was Paper Moon... Whenever, I travel, I RARELY stay in my room and make it a point to explore. I walked all over Madison Avenue, up and down the Avenue of Americas and now have the blisters from my JCrew flip flops to prove it!

Busy? No, not us!

The past week in the Satterpellaton household has been busy, to say the least. First of all, Brandon has "officially" moved in and has moved out of his townhouse in Old Town. Bye Bye 449 Old Town more stinky potties, creaky triangle stair, and Jeff the Wiggle (Alexa thought Bran's roommate Jeff was a wiggle).

Then, we had some pool time and poor lex, look at this shot...You know she's gonna hate me when she's older...

Sunday night we went to see fireworks with A, C and Andrew. Lex and Andrew had a blast running kicking the soccerball, playing ghost, and blowing bubbles.
