Bran and I did our first Let's Dish together last Friday night. Friday night is couples night (or at least that's who was there). We had a blast and have been loving having good food in the house!

Oh canada...

this week, I headed up to Canada for a site visit with Nedley. Even though it was a short trip, we jam packed our visit! We stayed in Hamilton in the province of Ontario which is very close to NY. The flight was only 55 minutes! The people in Canada are SOOOO nice and kind. It is so different than the US.

Anyway, after I was done with my site visit yesterday, I of course, needed to hit a scrapbook store. http://www.creativepapercrafts.com/ and bought some paint. The store wasn't very impressive, but I still had to buy something. Then, last night, Ned and I decided to go to Niagara Falls which is about 50 minutes away. It was FREEZING out! So cold that I had to buy a hat, or a touque as the Canadians call them. i cannot even begin to explain the enormity of how big The Falls are! They are illuminated by different colored spotlights and are just so roaringly loud. It was absolutely amazing and I would have loved to have had my canon rebel to take pictures. The area itself where they are located is a HUGE tourist trap and seems like a version of vegas with all of the neon and chain restaurants.

I convinced ned that we needed to eat dinner at the revolving Skylon restauarant http://www.skylon.com/ in which you take an elevator up at least 20 floors. We sat down for dinner and opened up the menu to find out the prices were outrageous for what really was a tourist trap. Ned got into actor mode and told our waitress that the movement was making him nauseaus and that we would have to leave! I was dying of laughter. :) Anyway, we wound up having a fun dinner at Hard Rock and headed back home!

Anyway, I held my own with my gimpy foot and I'm ready to be home and out of this cold, eh!

The Best Valentine's day ever

As most of you know, Bran and I have been "debating" for three months of whether or not we should get a wii...I want one, Bran does not. :)

Well, guess what cupid brought me today....I love you, Brandon!

Edited: Bran and I stayed up last night until 12:30 playing Guitar Hero and I am happy to announce that I got ALL the way through Hit me with your Best Shot and Slow Ride! This was no easy feet since i had to play sitting down because of my foot surgery! Bran was able to get through Sunshine of My love! Watch out Axl Rose!

We then did some bowling and boy, does Bran bowl funny. I apparently throw the ball SUPER Slow like an old lady!

Happy 5th Birthday Alexa Gwen!

At this time in 2003, I was recuperating after 24+ hours of labor and an emergency C-section. People would tell me countless times how much I would love my little baby and they were right! I love this little girl more than life itself. Lex is my pride and joy and there is no other person on earth who can make me laugh or smile as much as she does. I could not ask for a more optimistic, outgoing or happy child as lex. I love you, my little schmoo!

This was taken on my way to Fairfax Hospital to be induced on Wednesday, February 5th, 2003.
Here's Lexo 2 hours after her arrival. I was passed out and had no idea that this picture was taken. Check out her monster head and cheeks! No wonder she wouldn't come out, even with Forceps!

Here's a 5 day old Alexa Gwen! Check out those lips! She still looks like this when she sleeps!
Finally, Here's the crazy monkey! January 2008! We love you so much, our little cherub!

Already to go!

We're heading up to Liberty to ski this weekend with our closest friends!
Watch out~we've taken over a floor in the resort!

Plenty...

Yesterday, I was going over Lex's "daily report" from creme and noticed that she had a sad face stamp next to her music class.

Jen: Lex, why did you get a sad face for music? Did you not want to sing?

Lex: Mommy, lemme see my paper.

Lex looks at her paper and says to me matter of factly:

Mommy, there's plenty of happy faces on here.

I love my optimistic child :)
